Guide to Consultations
WRITTEN BY ABBI SCHUMACHER, NURSE INJECTOR
The consultation is one of the most important parts of your aesthetic journey. Whether a discussion at the beginning of your treatment appointment, or scheduled as a stand alone consult, this lays the foundation for client-provider relationships, lets us understand your goals, assess your unique anatomy, and provide treatment recommendations. Clients typically schedule consults because they have concerns they would like addressed, they want to know if they're a good candidate for a treatment they've been researching, or the simply want expert advice on what aesthetic treatments can do for them/where they should begin.
What to Expect:
At Injector Boutique we offer complimentary 30 minute consultations to all new and existing patients. A consultation is essentially a one-on-one medical aesthetic assessment. During your appointment we will discuss your concerns, goals, history and provide a facial assessment. When we establish a goal for treatment we can start discussing treatment recommendations and options, what they look like, and what to expect during and after your treatments. We will discuss realistic expectations, budget, and what can or cannot be achieved with injectables and/or other facial treatments.
How to Prepare:
The best way to prepare for an aesthetic consult is to think about what you would like to
focus on to make it more streamlined and organized. Ask yourself questions like “what bothers me most when I look in the mirror?” and “do I want subtle refinement or more noticeable change?”. If possible come to your appointment with clean skin, and prepare to discuss what home care products you’re using and what treatments you’ve tried in the past. Another thing that is helpful, especially if consulting on a specific treatment, is to write your questions down so you don’t forget to ask them! We will discuss things like procedure and downtime, but more questions are always welcome and encouraged. Lastly, budget! If you have a strict budget, please don’t hesitate to discuss this with your provider.

Which Provider to see:
Katy, Abbi and Sarah all offer complimentary consultations and can provide
recommendations on medical aesthetic treatments and skincare. If you have a provider you prefer to see you can schedule your consult with them! If you need help deciding use this guide:
● For concerns including fine lines/wrinkles, volume loss, laxity, facial asymmetries
or are interested in injectables treatments it is best to see Katy or Abbi.
● For other skin concerns like hyperpigmentation, acne, large pores,
oiliness/dryness, it would be best to do an aesthetician consult with our skin
expert, Sarah!
Aesthetic consultations are not meant to be intimidating or overwhelming, in fact the purpose is to do the opposite. Our goal is to walk you through the services we have to offer, answer your questions, and collaborate on a treatment plan that checks all of your boxes!
