The Ideal Bridal Prep Timeline, from a Nurse Injector.

WRITTEN BY ABBI SCHUMACHER, NURSE INJECTOR.

As a bride-to-be and nurse injector, we thought it would be fun (and educational) to share my personal bridal prep timeline and give some tips on what an ideal timeline would look like. Like most brides, I want to feel like the most beautiful version of myself on our wedding day. In addition to this, I am planning on doing my own hair and makeup because our wedding is in Mexico and I won't have time for a trial. I'm unfortunately not a magician with makeup, so my skin must be in tiptop shape! I'm looking for a fresh, bright, glowy complexion. My personal concerns are

  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Texture
  • Large Pores
  • Lower face laxity (hollowing and double chin).

Here is my personal timeline based on my goals!

May (11 months from the wedding)
Got engaged and picked a date for April 2026!
Identify concerns & goals
Start treatment planning.

June (10 months from the wedding)
PRP Luxe (under eye injections & microneedling)
Full Face Daxxify
Lip Filler

September (7 months from the wedding)
PRP Luxe treatment #2

October (6 months from the wedding)
Re-evaluate plan and skincare
BBL/Moxi
Sculptra

November (5 months from the wedding)
BBL 2nd treatment
Full Face Daxxify

December (4 months from the wedding)
BBL/Moxi 3rd treatment

January (3 months from the wedding)
Re-assess skin
Possible Jawline filler

March (Five weeks from the wedding)
Full Face Daxxify
Skinvive

Two to Three weeks from the wedding
Possible Daxxify Touch up
Moxi or Microneedling with PDGF (depending on what my skin could use more)

Last week before flying out
HydraFacial with Dermaplane and Lash Lift.

Why I chose each treatment:

BBL/Moxi - BBL is THE best treatment for hyperpigmentation not caused by melasma. I feel SO lucky we got this device right in time for my bridal prep. BBL helped to surface and destroy pigment and then Moxi helped to remove the pigment further and really resurface and refine texture. This combo erased my pigment and brightened my skin like nothing before.

Sculptra - I had Katy do my sculptra at 6 months out so I can get some good collagen & elastin stimulation by April. I don't have much volume loss, so we chose sculptra to improve skin quality and firmness. We treated with two vials mostly behind the line of ligaments including the temples, lateral cheek, pre auricular space and jawline with the goal of keeping things tight, lifted and pinned back.

PRP Luxe - I wanted to try under eye PRP to help brighten my under eyes and prevent hollowing/skin laxity. Microneedling remains my favorite treatment for texture and pores.

Lip Filler - I've always loved my lips, but I love them even more with a touch of filler :)

Jawline Filler - I'm hoping to do some jaw filler before the wedding. Jawline filler can help to create more harmony in the side profile and camouflage jowls.

Dermaplane & HydraFacial - This is to clean up any dead skin leftover from my laser or microneedling treatments and remove vellum hair for a flawless makeup base. It will also give my pores a good clean, and help boost deep hydration for a lasting glow.

Ideal Wedding Timeline:

We would love to see you for a consultation anywhere from 6-12 months out from your wedding date, or whenever you know you're planning a wedding. At our initial consultation we can discuss your goals and concerns, skincare regimen, and come up with a plan tailored to your needs.

4-6 Months out is a great time to trial your tox treatments if you are not already being treated regularly, get facial balancing with filler, and/or start a microneedling, laser, sculptra or PRP series if desired.

2-3 Months out is ideal for continuing your series or getting any facial or lip filler touch ups.

5 Weeks out is our favorite for final tox treatments. This gives up enough time for a touch up, the tox to peak, and settle into a more natural look, but still be strong enough to keep thing smooth.

1-2 Weeks out (ideally your wedding week) is the perfect time to see Sarah for your favorite facial. We always recommend a dermaplane and hydrafacial for an optimal wedding makeup base, but the choice is always yours!

As you can see, there are MANY different treatment options and avenues, so no matter your journey we would love to be a part of making you feel beautiful on your special day!
