Full-Face Tox for Better, More Balanced Results

How Does a Muscle Relaxer Work?
(aka: Tox, Botox, Dysport, Neuromodulator)
Every dynamic muscle expression that we create with our face is folding our skin throughout the years of our lives. Think of the skin like a piece of paper getting folded over and over again, creating a crease. This I why we get "static lines" or lines at rest. The older we get, the stronger those muscles get, which in turn, the deeper the lines become. As we age, we also lose collagen, we lose elastin and the skin becomes thinner. Keeping in mind, it is easier to fold thinner paper than thicker paper; this is why collagen building treatments and skincare in addition to neuromodulator to relax the muscles from contracting so strongly is so important.
Why Full Face Tox?
At Injector Boutique, we always take a global approach to our treatments. If we continue to only treat one or two areas with a neuromodulator for years, we will start seeing a disconnect between the upper and lower face. We don't want to improve the signs of aging in one area, but not the other. When we take a global approach and treat the lower face alongside the upper face we have a balanced, more harmonized appearance. Would you go to your hairdresser and only ask for them to cut and style half of your hair? Would you go to your nail tech and ask for them to file, cut and paint your nails on one hand? You get the picture. If we are only treating half of your face with tox, we are only addressing the signs of aging on half of the face.
Many of the muscles in the lower face are depressor muscles. The only function of those muscles is to pull down. Years and decades of these depressor muscles being left untreated, pulling down on the skin, can result in downturning corners of the mouth, jowling, sagging jawline, and dimpling of the chin. We treat these muscles with tox and it allows the muscles to lift; turning up or neutralizing the corners of the mouth, softening jowls, uncovering a more defined jawline and smoothing the appearance of the chin.

What Should I Expect?
If you are interested in full face tox we recommend you schedule a consultation with one of our injectors. Whether you are an existing client or new to us, we consult with you to ensure we are addressing your goals and set up a treatment plan to help you reach them. Full face tox is our love language. We will review facial anatomy, go over benefits of treatment areas, what to expect with results and the cost of treatment. Often times, we can treat the same day as the consult, if desired. The injections are quick and easy.
The tox will gradually relax the muscles over a 2 week period. If you are a new client to IB, we always as you to schedule a two week follow-up so we can review the treatment with you once it has fully set in. This is a good opportunity for us to review before-and-after results and answer any questions you might have.
At the two week mark, following your treatment, the tox is at its strongest. Sometimes the tox can feel a little tight or "heavy" in areas while you get used to the muscles being treated. Often times, we find that clients love their treatment the. most beginning at the 4-6 week time period. So if you have a big event, vacation, family photos etc. we recommend scheduling accordingly. The best time being 5 weeks prior to a big event.
Most neuromodulators last 3-4 months. The skin LOVES consistency. If you are looking for the best and most consistent results with your treatments, we recommend coming in 3-4 times per year for tox treatments.
Who is a Good Candidate for Full Face Tox?
Almost ANYONE. Starting with a neuromodulator treatment in your 20's is ideal. We like to think of these treatments as preventative. We want to keep that beautiful glowing skin and prevent the signs of aging. Why wait until you dislike the skin you are seeing in the mirror? We want to prevent damage and keep you feeling youthful and confident in your skin.
Prevention is always less expensive than correction. Period.
